The Yorkshire Driving Club - News

DRIVING SEASON 2018

Dear Members

First Drive - Begining of May

The new driving season is just around the corner, and after reading various comments on facebook we can safely assume that most members can't wait for it to start.

We hope you have your fitness preparations started as we have a good varied Driving Schedule for 2018.

The face book site will be updated on a regular basis when drives are due and Newsletters will be dispatched with locations and costs applicable for the forthcoming drives.

Our Web page (will hopefully behave its-self and let us update it this year).

If you are a long standing member of the club, our scheduled drives will be familiar to you.  If you are a more recent member, and have not taken part in a club drive

you may wish to speak to an existing member to find out about what goes on.  Please feel free to phone Debbie or John (phone numbers are on the Membership page).

Some members choose to set up camp for a full weekend away, others prefer to travel for a single day out either on the Saturday or the Sunday or both.

All members do what suits them the best.  We usually aim to set off on the drives around 1.00 p.m on Saturdays and 12.00 p.m on Sundays.

For further information please visit our website  where you can view our Events calendar and the list of current Committee Members.

You can also see us on facebook view Yorkshire Driving Club

Web page: www.yorkshiredrivingclub.co.uk

Good luck with your preparations and we hope to see both 'old' and new faces on as many drives as possible.

****************************************************************************************************************************

Just a reminder to check before the driving season commences that your driving insurance is renewed and is up to date.

Please have a copy of your certificate to show Debbie at the first drive of the season or when you pay your membership fees.

Bank Holiday Weekend 25th, 26th, 27th & 28th & May 2018

ALLERTON PARK ESTATE   HG5 0SE

This is another stunning venue with mature parkland, lakes, streams, a castle, and if we are lucky, a night firework display from someone's wedding at the castle

Its always a shock when that first firework erupts, They seem to get louder each year. The last couple of years have caught us ill-prepared with dogs running off frightened and owners upset.

(We need to make sure all our animals are secured before any fireworks start).  So lets endeavour to make sure we are ready, just in case.

Please do not to set up camp in front of any of the cross country fences or the access to them.

YDC Signs will be put up on the A59 to follow into the Estate (not A168 entrance)

You can arrive on Friday AFTER lunch not before please.
